Marlin Dailey is vice president of Sales for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Appointed to this position in December 2008, Dailey is responsible for the sales of commercial airplanes and related services to airlines and leasing customers around the world. Dailey reports to Jim Albaugh, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
Previously, Dailey was based in London as the Boeing Commercial Airplanes vice president of Sales for Europe, Russia and Central Asia. Dailey led sales efforts for that region since May 2002, when he was appointed vice president of Sales for Europe. In July 2004, he gained additional responsibility for sales efforts in Russia and Central Asia.
Dailey has been with Boeing Commercial Airplanes Sales since 1991. Before his assignment in London, Dailey was based in Brussels and served as business director and deputy to the senior vice president and general manager for Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Europe.
Before that, as a sales director in Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Dailey was based in Amsterdam and London for six years. He also has had assignments in Asia/Pacific Sales.
Dailey began his career with Boeing in 1979 as an aerodynamics engineer. From 1982 to 1984, he was employed by Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, Ga.
After returning to Boeing in 1984, Dailey rejoined the aerodynamics team, supporting Engineering Product Development and Sales. In 1986, he moved to Product Marketing, supporting the 737, 757 and 777 airplane programs.
Dailey has a bachelor of science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Kansas.
