Chris Raymond is vice president of Business Development for Boeing Integrated Defense Systems (IDS). This $32 billion, 70,000-employee business is a broad spectrum security provider of defense, space and intelligence solutions for U.S. and international customers.
Within IDS, Raymond is responsible for leading a team focused on customer engagement, strategy and solutions. His organization helps develop and resource market, technology, capture and advocacy efforts aimed at customer needs.
Prior to his current position, Raymond was vice president of Business Development for Air Force Systems, focused on Global Mobility; Global Strike; C4ISR; and Integrated Space solutions. Raymond has also held positions in International and the company's Mobility division.
Before joining Business Development, Raymond held a variety of assignments at Boeing within Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, and Program Management. He joined the company in 1986 as an engineer in Long Beach, Calif.
Raymond serves on the Advisory Board for Boeing's business alliance with Cisco Systems. He is a member of the Air Force Association, the Airlift Tanker Association, the Navy League, the Association of the U.S. Army and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
Raymond holds a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering from the University of Illinois, a certificate in contract management and a master's degree in business administration, both from the University of California-Irvine.
