Royal Air Maroc to Expand it's Fleet with New Boeing Airplanes

Return to News Release

SEATTLE, Nov. 14, 2000 -- The Boeing Company today announced that Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has chosen Boeing airplanes for its fleet expansion. The intention to acquire up to 20 medium-range Boeing Next-Generation 737s and two long-range 767s airplanes was announced earlier today by RAM in Casablanca, Morocco. The value of the airplanes is approximately $1.4 billion at list prices. "We are thrilled that Royal Air Maroc chose Boeing over competing models," said Seddik Belyamani, executive vice president, Sales, Boeing Commercial Airplanes Group. "For the last six months, Royal Air Maroc has conducted a thorough and professional evaluation of all aspects of the competing products to ensure the best business decision for the airline."
